Sex in public places – why is it so hot?
by Cassandra Carr
In our recent anthology, Public Displays of Eroticism, we explore two related facets of sexuality – voyeurism and exhibitionism. As we were writing our stories, we asked ourselves, “What is it about having sex in public places – or watching others having sex – that is such a turn-on?”
We wanted to figure it out so we could make sure we addressed different parts of why people liked it. So why do they? Is it because it’s naughty and/or forbidden? Because you could get caught? Because you like fresh air?
Each of us had a different take on why our characters liked voyeurism and exhibitionism, and we’re sure there are lots of reasons we couldn’t even begin to explore in a short anthology. But now we’d love to hear from you? Why is having or watching sex in a public place so hot?
