My name is Louisa and I’m a shoe slut.
In fact, when it comes right down to it, I’m a book slut too. And a chocolate slut. A glittery nail polish slut. Okay, the truth: I love to shop, and I hate culling my stuff. Excuse me a moment while I refill my wine glass.
Okay, where was I? I go into withdrawal when I don’t have access to the Internet, and not just because I’ve become a Facebook junkie. But at the same time, it’s a minion of evil, the enabler in my life. The same person who first conceived of beautiful but uncomfortable shoes also invented online shopping and free shipping. I’m convinced of it. They wanted me to buy more pretty shoes at three in the morning, secure in the knowledge that I’m saving money because I don’t have to pay postage.
I also have a penchant for glitter and sparkle. Am I five, I hear you ask. No, but I can pretend I am if that makes you feel better! I recently invested in a bottle of pink glitter nail polish. I apply it over a coat of boring, flat purple, and I instantly have neon-purple glittery nails! It’s the simple things in life that make you smile: cheap nail polish, pretty flowers, a good book, and in my case, killer shoes.
As I sit here typing this, I can’t help remembering the amazing shoes someone posted on Facebook last week. They were Christian Louboutin, which means they cost about $2,900 more than I can afford, but I’m sure there’s a knockoff pair somewhere…
And then there are books. I may spend a night out in sexy new shoes, but the next day when I can’t walk and am sacked out on the couch in sweats, it’s my books I turn to. And you can buy as many ebooks as you like, because most of them don’t cost as much as paperbacks, so you’re saving money. You really are, even if my accountant doesn’t believe me.
If there’s something in the world, be it shoes, books, wine–erm, no, I’m not refilling my glass yet again–that brings out the slut in you, tell me all about it. And I’m not including men–that’s a whole ‘nother story!
I don’t have one special man in my life at the moment–I have several. There’s dark, dangerous-looking Daniel, the world-renowned sculptor; tasty Tim, worthy of being licked all over in the boardroom; and Troy, Jake and Cameron…my trio of hunks in the sun. You definitely wanna go diving with those boys!

My days of being a slut-slut are past. Ah, the fond memories and the even fonder blank spots in those memories! But the vaginal warts? I’m an OCD slut…everything has to be perfect. I have my 4,000+ books organised by Genre & Author & series or publication date. All the forks, spoons etc in my cutlery drawer have to be nested together in the same direction. I even iron tea towels! BTW, I added Diving in Deep to Goodreads.com

Me, I am a definite e book slut. I have well over 2800 on my Kindle DX. and I really don’t know how many on my Fire. But I hunt for the freebies too. Mainly I’ve been on a m/m run, and reading every author I can get my hands on. I want to sample each author with utter abandon…*S*
I am also a mango slut, white peach and frankly all fruit slut tight now as I’ve missed the fresh stuff for 6 years…*S* I am a bead slut as I love to make bracelets and anklets and earrings….*S* I give many of them away.

My name is Nancy and I am a bookoholic. I will do almost anything for my fix; entering contests, late night book shopping with the grocery money and to heck with baby’s new shoes, the kid can go barefoot if I can get a new book. I’m thinking about selling plasma to finance a few purchases.
My mom is the shoe slut. She has more shoes than Imelda Marcos. Some of which she’s only worn once and some not at all. Just buys them because they are on sale.

e-books as well because I can get more of those and hide them from hubby. Prints are harder to hide. I dream about 3 minutes shopping sprees in bookstores, or online stores. One can never have toooooo many books.
