You’re all aware of our changes here at CoP. Our rockin’ Wranglers have been hard at work making contacts. Porn studios, artists, photographers — we have them all, and you’ll be seeing more of them soon. But that’s only part of the change. After legalizing all of our posts, mine and Heidi’s second goal was to increase our own presence here on the blog, and that starts today. From here on out, the Tuesday spots will be mine! [Insert maniacal laugh here.] Heidi will help me out from time to time of course. She’ll also be doing some Thursday spots starting next week.
So, what can you expect on Tuesdays? Well, your guess is as good as mine. I’ll be in Italy September 6-23rd, and I have some fun things lined up. After that, there’s GRL. We may try to get you all involved somehow. Who knows?
For today, I thought I’d share some randomness from my camera roll. If you follow me on Twitter, you may have seen some of these already, but some of them are new.
First of all, everybody else has been sharing their coffee, so I figured it was time to share mine.
This part of my whole quest to surround myself with positive affirmations. Not sure it’s working, but it sure doesn’t hurt either.
This is my kitten, Padme, a.k.a., E-poo. As in, Stink-ee-poo. Because, well, she stinks.
That cute face? Yeah. That’s an act. Here’s how she usually looks:
EVIL!!
I also wanted to share this picture of Tank.
This is my brother-in-law’s girlfriend’s dog. Tank was the inspiration for MoJo in Second Hand.
That isn’t actually Tank on the cover, but the resemblance is uncanny, isn’t it? (BTW, Second Hand is available for pre-order now!)
Finally, my TBR pile.
This doesn’t even count all the ones sitting on my Kindle. The stupid thing is, for every one book I read, I buy about four more, so of course the pile never goes down. I suspect many of you can relate.
How about you guys? Got a pet picture or a TBR pile you’d like to share? Let’s see them!

*groan* TBR pile? Don’t get me started.
groaning kindle and a bedroom door that wont shut because of the all the books sticking out. my tbr will never go down
And… four more books arrived in the mail yesterday. LOL.
Ummm…my TBR pile has it’s own zipcode! If it were in space, it would have its own gravitational pull.
I have around 100 on my kindle and at least two dozen more in the house. =)
I have waaay too many on my Kindle and a couple of bookcases of TBR. I’m very addicted, and I need so much more time to just read . . . . BUT, I do the same thing: read one, buy another two or three or ???
My nook is groaning and the floor creaked when I laid another on the pile by my bed. I expect to wake one day in the garage because of an overload. Oh well, got a gift card for Amazon and I must go now and spend it on, yes, more books. I have a feeling that my tbr pile will be my daughters’ inheritance.
I’m glad I’m not the only one! I have more TBR books in my e-book than I have ones that I’ve read. When I find a series that I like I have to read them all in order, and the previous books just sit in the pile!
Marie, I feel your pain when it comes to the huge TBR pile. Sounds like we all suffer from the same thing. At least I know I’m not alone. I don’t buy that many books anymore unless it is one in a series that I have already been reading for years. I was running out of room to store them all(any new series go on the Kindle). My Kindle is also full of books that I haven’t read yet, but I keep buying more. It’s an addiction! Of course you authors just keep writing these stories that I can’t resist buying…lol.
Your kitten reminds me of a black cat we used to have named Stinker (and it wasn’t because he smelled bad). He was a little bit on the evil side. Loved to attack people when they least expected it.
We’ve had a Siamese for the last twelve years and he is the total opposite. He is my cuddle buddy while I read. Even our German Shepherd gets along with him.
I made an amazon order yesterday. I bought 5 books. 2 of them are for my middle child’s 9th birthday coming up soon…
And, yeah, I’ve got a ridiculous number of other books, both dead tree and digital, yet to be read. And a whole folder of bookmarked URLs of books I want to at some point buy or wishlist or something (some of them don’t even have release dates yet…)
I believe you can’t die as long as you still have unread books on the TBR shelf. I shop accordingly.
Oh! Good theory!
Since you’ll be in Italy at around the right time, and chance of you popping over to the UK, for the gay romance meet in Brighton? It’s the w/end of the 15th
Also, I don’t have a TBR pile, as I don’t have the spare cash for one at the moment. I do have a very, very lage TBB (to be bought) pile, however.
At the moment I’m making do by reading through my aunt’s collection of Cadfael books. So far pretty much all of them have had a gorgeous young man, and an attractive young woman whose heart is set aflutter by the sight of him; in most cases the young man is also the main suspect in the murder. So far my favourite of Edith Pargetter’s hunks was a knight called Olivier de Bretagne (for once, a hunk who’s not the suspect) who despite his low origins (born the bastard son of a Crusader’s Welsh footsoldier and a Muslim widow in Antioch) manages to wed a nobleman’s daughter, the neice of his leige-lord.
First, I love the picture taken in your kitchen. We just remodeled last fall and I chose the same tile (just a lighter shade) and the same counter. I love the look!
And now your cat. My daughter, who lives in an attached apt, does Manx rescue, so we have six cats. With our vet’s rule of one more litter box than # of cats, that means seven x-large litter boxes. Thank the stars the boxes are in her sun room, which is never used for sunning anymore, in fact it isn’t used for anything but the litter boxes. Hmm…maybe we should rename it. lol
